I ordered this thermometer because my glass thermometer cracked as I was making a batch of yogurt and took in liquid. I wanted a thermometer that had a metal probe with no glass attached and this does. I don't do a lot of deep frying, but I do occasionally make candies, and lots of yogurt and bread. Two small problems with the device: the mastic used to stick the little tabs that show the temps for candy stages and fry temps keep falling off, I'll have to glue them on if I want to keep them. Second, it turns itself off after a few minutes, so you must keep hitting the "on" button, just an inconvenience. Otherwise, it seems to be true to temp and sturdy. Good purchase!

My friend, who recently cut off the end of a finger while using a mandolin, was very appreciative. As it so happened, I also cut off the side of a finger while using a knife, so I got one for myself as well. It feels as though it will provide protection, as you can feel the steel strands running through the fingers, but not uncomfortably. I have not tried cutting my finger (none of us do, do we?), so I'm hopeful. I would have rated it excellent, but the glove is a bit large for my hand and leaves about 1/4" of the end of the glove empty. I wish it would come in sizes. I would rate this a medium size, which is too big for my hand.

I like this bread keeper very much. I had been using a cake keeper for my bread loaves, but it had no air exchange and kept moisture from escaping, and I couldn't eat a big loaf of bread before some of it spoiled. I like the little cutting board for slicing the bread that holds the loaf, as well. It is also very attractive, not a big metal box but a sleek, clear container that lets you visually enjoy the loaf, as well as keeping it edible. I bake a standard 10" loaf. If you bake Pullman loaves, it won't be big enough.

For years I have wanted a good quality pasta spoon/server that wouldn't wilt when it hit the hot water, as my old nylon server did. Sometimes it would bend in a semi-circle with the weight of the pasta when it came out of the boiling water. This Cuisinart spoon is heavy duty, with a stainless handle attached to a heavy nylon spoon at one end and a padded end to add stability and keep you from burning your hands. It is long enough to keep the handle up out of the water, and strong enough to lift a pile of pasta, drain it and serve it with no worry of loosing control or of it breaking. I'm so happy!

I bought the red composite utensils to go with my new red crock, and they're really nice. They don't stain, are heat resistant up to 400 F, and I don't have to worry about wood splinters possibly ending up in the food I serve, as I did with my old wooden spoons.

This lovely red crock gives me a way to get the long-handled tools that were jammed in my storage drawer out where I can see and grab them quickly, and looks nice on my countertop. I only wish it were a bit bigger, so I could put more of them in! The three-section insert keeps the tools standing up for easy access, and a silicone pad in the bottom keeps the tools from possibly cracking or crazing the crock. I'm really glad I finally got this!

I make and eat a lot of soup, most of which are stock-based from long-simmering animal flesh and bones. This pan allows me to make a large amount of stock, and then it's my choice to either make all into soup and warm individual servings in the microwave, or save off a small amount of stock for soup and freeze the rest of the stock for use later (as ice cubes, also, for small bursts of flavor). The bail makes it easy to transport when full of liquid, and the sturdy, riveted handle makes it easy to pour and otherwise control. It is a heavy-duty pan, and will be the last one I'll have to buy for the rest of my life, and I'll pass it on. I love it!
