Thick, heavy, tough. Even cooking. No need for the "heat blanket" around the edge. Last bakeware I'll ever buy. Somewhat non-stick, but best to prepare pan before baking. One con is that they are so perfect in shape and size that they do not store compactly. I purchased 2 8" round pans and they do not nest. The round pans do not nest in an 8" square pan either.

Great little gadget! Keeps the eggs from being a floating mess. One slight problem...eggs had a bit of a plastic taste when cooked, but I did use PAM spray to ensure easy removal. I will try using butter or oil next time and see if it still tastes like plastic.
