I bought this when my old breadmaker died. So far I have made several loaves of regular bread, banana bread, and pizza dough, and this breadmaker has turned out fantastic results! The footprint is large, but the fact that it turns out normal sized loaves makes it worth it. The slices of bread fit nicely into a two slice toaster.

There are several butter bells out there and they all work by the same principle, so I bought this one based on color and appearance. It performs exactly as described in keeping butter at a nice spreadable consistency. It holds 1 stick of a 4 stick package - 1/4 lb. of butter, which after softened at room temp, is packed into the bell. Another reviewer, somewhere, mentioned she wished she had purchased two butter bells so one could be in use while the other one was being cleaned. I agree. AFTER I had our bell, I saw one available now In the Chef's Catalog which looks like a traditional butter dish. From what I gathered, you just drop the stick in the dish, add the water "where ever", and you are good to go - no butter packing. Although it did not appeal to me esthetically, I probably would have bought it in lieu of the Le Creuset because of it's convenience. Given the circumstances, though, I love our butter bell!

I purchased this because I liked the idea of being able to brown and slow cook in one pot. So far, this multi-cooker has delivered. It browns nicely, without spattering all over, and then switches to roasting or slow cooking. My first roast was overdone, but I believe this cooker cooks faster than I had anticipated, so it is just a case of getting in tune with it. I believe it has great potential. It has a retractable cord - big plus! It is easy to clean.

I bought this mandoline for my husband. I wanted something easy to clean and simple to use. He slices onions for burgers.- period. When it arrived, I was disappointed. It looked cheap and flimsy. I own a $200+ mandoline which is flawless, but cumbersome. After he used "his" mandoline and raved about it, I decided to give it a try when I had a small onion to slice. For that job it was every bit as good as my expensive mandoline. I suspect I will be using "our" mandoline on a regular basis. As for durability - only time will tell, but it was reasonably priced so replacing it at a later date will not bust the budget.

Out of all the sink strainers I have tried, this one is the best. I like the fact that it is stainless steel and will not rust. The outer lip is flat enough so food does not catch on, or slide under it. It is easy to empty, and I throw it in the dishwasher to clean it.

I bought this because I was tired of flimsy scoops. This scoop is definitely not flimsy and I like the idea of it being stainless steel so it will not rust, but as another reviewer mentioned, the handle is not comfortable. I wouldn't call the edges sharp, but they do dig into your hand a bit. I solved the problem by doubling over a dish towel and wrapping the handle. It does a good job of dipping pasta out of the pot.
