The shield was slightly too small to attach around the pie, so I just placed it over the crust. It didn't do any good--the crust scorched.

I used the turkey lifters for the first time on Thanksgiving. We start our turkey breast down, and it is hard to turn it over after a couple of hour so the breast will brown. With the turkey lifters, it was easy.
