You can go to the local big box store and get a grill pan cheaper, but cheaper is what you get. Cooking with quality cook ware is just as important and cooking with quality ingredients! Not only will this grill pan last longer, it actually cooks much better. The one thing most folks don't think about when purchasing a grill pan is, because of the ridges, it keeps the food our of any fat which may render out of whatever you're cooking.
I would recommend this grill pan to pan to anyone!

I was thinking that so many young people, just starting out in a marriage, or just setting up their 1st apartment, and they go to one of the big box stores and buy cheap pots and pans. Then they wonder why it's so hard to cook.
Cut back in other areas, but get the good, Pro Quality products that will last you a life time if you take care of it.
Best fry pan I've ever owned.

I did'n realize how much better you can cook when you're using top quality cookware. This pot heats quickly and evenly and I find it hard to burn what I'm cooking because there are no hot spots.
