While in Scotland, most hotel rooms had small pots for heating water and making tea. Upon my return to the US - we ordered this pot. Amazing, water comes to a boil seemingly right after hitting the on-button. It's large capacity means I can use a French Press and make several cups of tea at once. It has easy care and quckly reheats water as well. Fantastic for a tea or coffee lover.

Stoneware Bean Pot : There's only one way to make authentic baked beans: slow-baking at a low oven temperature for hours, to ensure the molasses, brown sugar, vinegar, pork and beans intermix in flavor. This traditional stoneware 4 1/2-qt. bean pot with lid is high-fired to a smooth finish, retaining the consistent heat of the oven to allow even cooking without constant stirring, providing smooth release for ease in serving. Accommodates any flavor variations, so if your specialty is New England baked beans, be sure to include the maple syrup and salt pork. Also ideal for slow-simmering soup in the oven. Recipes included. Oven- microwave- and dishwasher-safe.

Nice heavy/classic ceramic bean pot - weighs approx 4.5 pounds, so it works great on a buffet line, or at a picnic because it keeps the beans at serving temperature. Good capacity. Probably the only drawback is that the knob on the top is also classic, so can be hard to remove with a bulky hot-pad. Great Value. You need to carry these in more sizes!
