I used to have a mesh wire strainer from Home Depot. During our renovation, it got lost in the shuffle (probably thrown out). Found this product on Chef's. When it came it I knew I liked it (a lot) better because it is heavier and not a cheap feeling as the other one I had.

I was using my grandmother's china sugar bowl for my kosher salt for years and after we had our kitchen renovated I felt like time was running out and something was going to happen. Found this salt server on Chef's and I love it. Love that it has a lid attached, love that it can go into the dishwasher and love that I don't have to worry that i may break grandmother's china!

How much garlic do you keep in your home?

I didn't realize the size of this garlic holder. The one have is too small and thought this would be perfect. When it came in, it was just too big--you could easily store 6 to 8 heads of garlic. Although we do use garlic in a lot of our dishes at home, we don't use that much. Also, because I don't have a large kitchen I didn't want to lose space on my counter(s) or cabinets storing this. It looks nice; I just wish it were smaller.
