Wallace Silversmith Lux Hotel Flatware, Service for 12, 77 piece
Wallace Silversmith Lux Hotel Flatware, Service for 12, 77 piece
Wallace Silversmith Lux Hotel Flatware, Service for 12, 77 piece : The Hotel Lux flatware set represents the finest original patterns in European history. The most popular patterns from Europe's grand hotels are reproduced in this 18/10 stainless-steel flatware collection. The 77-piece service includes 12, 5-piece place settings: salad fork, dinner fork, dinner knife, teaspoon, dinner spoon, plus 12 additional teaspoons, and 5-piece hostess set: tablespoon, pierced tablespoon, cold meat fork, butter serving knife and sugar spoon. Dishwasher-safe. 25-year manufacturer warranty. The Queens pattern of the Victorian period graces the salad fork and cold meat fork, introduced in the reign of George IV in 1825. Shells, foliate scrolls and flower adorn each piece of this elegant design. The dinner fork in the Impero Continental pattern is reminiscent of Italian craftsmanship, reflecting artistry in the Olde World tradition. Ornate etchings and uniquely-shaped handle distinguish this pattern as one of grandeur and stateliness. Originating in 1680, the William and Mary pattern graces the dinner knife. A detailed pattern, combining the Trefid and Lace Back patterns of the era, is enhanced with fine lace design. Rich ornamentation on both the stem and handle of the dinner spoon, tablespoon and pierced tablespoon dates back to 1780 with the Federalist pattern, the exquisite pattern for formal dining. The teaspoon and sugar spoon feature traditional lines and stately floral skirt, patterned after the Barocco Continental flatware. This finely-detailed pattern with continental-size handle was introduced in Rome during the 16th century, representing the grandiose artistry of the Baroque era. The distinctly Italian Venezia pattern on the butter serving knife features harmoniously scrolled leaf motifs, also indicative of the Baroque influence. With continental-size handle, the Venezia pattern knife is comfortable to use and pleasing to the eye. Established in 1835, Wallace Silversmiths creates timeless designs to complement a wide range of table settings from contemporary to ornate. Legendary collectible patterns, flawless in composition, represent the pride and legacy of this prominent New England designer of flatware and hollowware.

Through out the years we had lost so many spoons, forks, and knives that we were very mixed matched. I wanted a 12 place setting that I was not ashamed of and I found it. This are very heavy and should look pretty for a long time.
