I bought this pan because an acquaintance of mine has one and I got to cook with it. His is black from years of use, but I find that after seasoning the pan according to the directions, it already performs beautifully. I assume it will only get better with age.
This pan essentially combines the heat-distributing qualities of cast iron with a completely non-stick, yet natural, surface. It would be extremely hard to improve upon.
