All-Clad Stainless-Steel Bowl Set : Set of 3 professional-quality mixing bowls in 1.5-quart, 3-quart, and 5-quart capacities. Made of heavyweight 18/10 stainless steel, each has a large foldover handle for easy lifting and pouring. Imported.
These bowls are especially satisfying to use because of the handle, the slick surface and the shape. Those same qualities also make them easy to hand wash, so they rarely make it into the dishwasher. They are frequently reused multiple times during a food prep session and then are easy to nest for storage.
I used to use plastic bowls but after a while, even the best become stained and nicked where these will probably last a lifetime--or more. The handle makes a huge difference in providing a secure grip. The sizes in this set are perfect for the various chores I have for them. I really love them and consider them one of All-Clad’s best products. They may seem expensive, but are well worth it. The amount of time I save while cooking and the amount of space saved in my kitchen by eliminating the countless other bowls I used to have on hand, make these bowls a good investment and one I’m very glad I made.

Apple Corer and Slicer
Apple Corer and Slicer : Our sturdy corer/slicer is a quick and easy way to prepare apples or pears for snacks, pie fillings, salads or jams. Slices fruit into 12 even wedges while the corer removes the center seeds. The high handles leave enough room to keep fingers away from the base. Product Features Lightweight, durable triple-plated chrome over zinc alloy 3 1/2-Dia. corer and 12-wedge slicer Comfortable grip
This product has the size, the sharpness and the sturdiness to do the job successfully every time. I've had other apple corers with plastic handles that eventually break. Since I like Honey Chrisp apples, which are harder than many and are often big, I'm pleased to find a corer/slicer that handles them so well.
The slice sizes are great for snacking. I've learned that a spritz with vitamin C powder mixed with water will keep the slices from browning so I keep a sprayer filled with it in the fridge. I can slice up apples and pears and keep them on hand for snacks throughout the day and for the grandchildren after school. This is a very useful product.

This blender is the last you'll ever buy. It is high quality and lasts––with zero problems. The smoothies are absolutely smooth with no chunky bits as other blenders tend to leave. It really does crush ice effectively and makes ice cream in seconds from frozen fruit and cream. My guests can't believe I pull off such amazing concoctions so quickly. I also love that you don't have to take it apart to clean it.
The best feature of this model as opposed to some others is the knob in the middle that lets you adjust the speed on the fly by tiny increments until you have exactly the result you desire. This is especially useful when working with hot liquids that are likely to 'explode' a bit when blended on high too suddenly. You can start on low and dial up faster, then switch to the high setting if you need to.
There's a reason professional chefs use this blender. It's fool proof, efficient and completely reliable. I used it for baby food when that was needed, I make my own hummus, great soups and a million other things. No other blender can compare.
I have the 25-slot model and am very happy with it. In fact, this is the only block I could find that accommodates TWO chef's knives, three if you don't use the cleaver slot for a cleaver. Many of us have added a santoku knife or another hollow edge chef's knife to our collection or have chef's knives of different lengths and need more than one slot that will fit that size blade.
Another feature is that many knife blocks don't have a slot that is wide enough and long enough to accommodate a long slicer. This does. And what if you have an oval shaped diamond steel? This block has a place to put it--most don't. Granted it's the scissors slot, but I hang my scissors so I don't need the slot for them. And what do I do with the round steel slot? That's where my thermometer goes so it's always handy. I don't have steak knives, but do have a collection of paring-type knives I've collected over the years and with this block, I can accommodate them all.
The wood is solid and beautiful and the swivel base is handy if you want to swivel the unit out of the way when not in use, or in my case, if it sits on a shelf where the base will fit when turned in one direction, while I can still have the knife handles turned to face me for easy access. All in all, finding this knife block ended a long search for one that is truly versatile. Highly recommended.

This product works as described if you have the proper pans. I have All-Clad and they don't work very well. I'm not going to replace them, obviously, so won't get as much use from this unit as I'd hoped. Still, it works well with my one Farberware pan and I'll get one other so I can take advantage of its features.
The cooktop does stay nicely cool except where the pan actually sits and clean up is really easy. It reaches and maintains the set tempertaure well and turns off instantly so you can leave the pan on the burner until you're ready to clean it without worrying about whatever's left in the pan baking into an impossible crust.
All in all, I like the unit very much, but since a magnet stuck to my All-Clad, I assumed I could use it. Not so. It does work somewhat, but heats faster on the range. Problem is that although the outer layer of clad cookware is magnetic, the inner layers are copper or aluminum and the inside is 18/10 stainless, none of which conduct magnetic current. The core of these pans is designed to conduct heat and does so very effectively, but isn't suitable for this method unless you're patient. I'm disappointed to discover this, but like the unit well enough to have a couple of extra pans around for use with it.

ISI Cream Whipper
ISI Cream Whipper : Make fresh, delicious
whipped cream in seconds that lasts up to 14 days in the
refrigerator! All you add is 1 pint of heavy cream - the
whipper automatically prepares 5 pints of topping.
Brushed aluminum and plastic whip includes two nozzles
for a variety of decorative effects, 1 Nitrous Oxide
cartridge, and book with five recipes. 2-year warranty.
Set of 10 Nitrous Oxide Cream Cartridges is also
available. Made in Austria.
Whether garnishing pie, hot cocoa or jello for the kids, this thing gets a lot of use at my house. Everyone who sees it wants one too. As the official pie supplier at family events, it's awfully nice to be able to take the already-whipped cream along too, or have it waiting in the fridge when I'm hosting. The contents last for 2 weeks as stated and are always handy. Since I sweeten my cream, I always shake it a few times before adding the cartridge, then several times afterward, and have excellent resutls with delivery. Each time I take it out for another use I give it a brief shake again. You can make other things in it besides whipped cream, e.g. dips and fluffy desserts, but I haven't tried those because it's always filled with cream. I guess I should get another.

I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and purchased this item as it is better than expected and suits me completely. It's hard to spend so much when there are still unanswered questions, so I anguished for months before finally deciding to try it. If you're in the same boat, I'll try to clarify a few things that I wondered about. 1) The feed tube isn't shown 'face forward' so you don't know how big it is. While It's decent sized (about 2"x3"), it's not as big as the largest offered by competitors, BUT there are no aggravating safety catches. You just put the stuff in and push. The pusher isn't attached. You can apparently purchase another top with a huge oversized feed tube but all the irritating safety features come with it. I prefer the ease of this unrestricted tube. 2) While the big bowl as multiple blade options, and the little bowl has its own small metal blade, the midi bowl has no blade. Its main purpose is for use with the slicing/grating disks as they fit over it perfectly so no unprocessed food can escape and mix with the processed food. I've used it multiple times and even though it sits inside the bigger bowl, I've not had to wash the larger bowl as nothing fell into it. 3) Locking the large bowl and top in place (required for all activities) is easy and intuitive--even easy for left-handers, which is more than I can say for my previous unit. That one drove me crazy. The Magimix is blissfully intuitive in all operations. 4) The central post in the bowls is tall enough to process a large amount of stuff without it leaking out when you remove the bowl. Likewise, the blade's hollow 'inside' is big enough to insert a finger to keep it from falling off when you pour out your processed food. 5) The juicer is very effective and easy to use. 6) The citrus juicer is also very quick and effective, and if you've forgotten how good fresh squeezed orange juice is, you're in for a treat (store bought can't compare). In fact you can process the oranges, then switch to the other juicer and add carrot juice without emptying the bowl. I can make a little or enough for a week in only a couple of minutes. Cleanup is a breeze. 7) Although the big bowl can hold a lot, it works well for smaller quantifies too, and large or small, the spatula included is really useful, not a throw away as others are. 8) I thought it would be weird to nest the bowls when the smaller ones are needed, but it's not. It works fine and it's easier to have only one locking bowl and one cover regardless of which bowl you're actually using for processing.
All in all, I'm very pleased. I've made bread dough, pesto, juice, grated rock hard parmigiano, as well as mozzarella, prepped ingredients for soup and tomato sauce among other things and all worked really well. I bought the extra disks and am enjoying the additional options they afford. (You can get them into the storage case although there are only four official slots for disks). There was almost no learning curve and clean up is easy. Highly recommended.
Magimix Cuisine Systeme 5150 Extra Discs : Expand the performance of the ultimate food processor with this trio of extra discs. Commercial-grade, stainless-steel. Set includes: 6mm slicer, 6mm grater, and French fry disc.
These disks add even more versatility to the Magimix. It is worth noting that all three are 6mm, including the grater, which the description misstates as 3mm. It grates cheese beautifully. All three have multiple uses and won't gather dust. The slicer is especially nice for lemon or lime slices for garnishes, and the French fry disk is also good for veggie sticks for kids’ lunches or a party platter.

There's no question the Vita-Mix leaves all other blenders in the dust. It's fantastic. It is a quality appliance. I've had mine for years and have never had a single problem. It does everything, including a real guest-pleaser dessert––frozen strawberries and heavy cream become ice cream to die for in 20 seconds. No other blender can handle the hard frozen berries and produce a totally smooth ice cream like this. I always get awestruck looks when I serve it. And as for smoothies––they're supposed to be smooooth––no odd bits to get stuck in the straw, but how many blenders can really do that consistently? None I've tried except this one. The Vita-Mix has proved its worth over the years with results I know I can count on every time. It's the only blender you'll ever need.

This pan is deceptive to look it. I saw a chef using one and tracked it down since when looking at the pictures alone you don't get a good sense of the size. I didn't realize how big it was. It's the size of the 3-quart sauté pan but with tall sides--the same size as the 6-quart stockpot, but with a handle. When I saw it being used to sauté vegetables as the base for a soup, I knew I had to have one. I have the 3-quart sauté pan, but sometimes it just isn't big enough when all the components are added. This pan is perfect. I find I like it better than the stockpot of the same size because of the long handle. If you've used these pans before, you know the little handles get hot, but the long ones don't, which makes maneuvering it easier. If you can only afford one big All-Clad pan, get this one. It's great and serves many purposes.
