I have a lot of red in my kitchen, and this little item fits in perfectly. It is smooth, fast, and effortless to use, from only a couple of eggs to cake or pancake batter.
The beaters are stainless steel, and a shiny chrome finish on the metal body. The red acrylic handle and knob are really sleek.

Heavy Gauge Pans

The pans are really rugged, and promise years of heavy duty use. The sides of the pans are flared. This means that while the bottom of the pan is 6 inches, the top rim is actually about 6 3/4 inches. The description says that pans have "Nonstick SilverStone coating" on the one hand, and that the "Uncoated surface" offers good reflectivity for even dispersion of heat", on the other. The pans do not appear to have this nonstick Silverstone coating, however. The inside of the pan, and the outside appear to be exactly the same. I checked this out in several other places that sell these pans, as well as Chicago Metallic online, and there is no mention of this Silverstone coating anywhere. The booklet that came with the pans say to prebake the empty, ungreased, pans in a 325ºF oven for an hour, before first use. It also says that the pans do not need seasoning before or after use. There is no mention of Silverstone in the booklet, however. Another discrepancy concerns the Warranty. The booklet says it's a 10 year Warranty, but the description on the CHEFS page says that there is a limited 25 year warranty. Hopefully CHEFS will correct these discrepancies.

I've been looking for a replacement knob for my Lodge 6 quart blue enamel covered dutch oven. I wanted to be able to use the pan in the oven to make the famous bread recipe, but the knob that came with my Lodge pan isn't oven safe. I was having no luck, till I accidentally came across this stainless steel Le Creuset 2 inch replacement knob. It was cheap enough, so I decided to take a chance. It FITS, and it fits PERFECTLY....right size knob, right size screw, and right size screw length. If you've been looking for a replacement knob for your Lodge cast iron enameled pot, then GO FOR IT!!! I am one very happy home cook.

Not just for lasagna

This is one very solid, durable, non-stick pan. It's extremely well made, and looks really great. When I first saw this fantastic pan, I immediately saw that there were many other uses, than just for lasagna.
I had seen a very similar pan, elsewhere, that was intended for baking brownies, and I thought it might be great for lasagna as well. But, alas it wasn't quite large enough for lasagna. So when I saw this pan, and read its dimensions, I knew I had found a really multi-use pan. My first use of this pan wasn't lasagna, but carrot cake. My recipe made enough batter to make to make two carrot cakes, using just the two outer channels. I sprayed the two channels lightly with spray oil. After the cakes cooled enough, on the cooling rack, I inverted the pan, and the two cakes slipped out smoothly, leaving absolutely no crumb in the pan. I frosted both cakes with cream cheese frosting, when they had completely cooled down. All I can say is that they came out GREAT!!! Brownies are next, and, of course lasagna. No matter what you bake in this pan, you'll absolutely love it.

I own all three sizes of the Chop-n-Scoop Board.....small....medium and large. They have replaced all my previous flat boards. From slicing cherry tomatoes, to forming dough, they are fantastic boards. Chop, slice or dice, and then pour. Nothing could be easier or enjoyable to use.
