If you have one kind of pie plate for Thanksgiving and other special occasions that you always can rely on, this is it! When I got my first one, I was amazed at the artistry of the dish itself. It bakes pies like a dream. The crust is evenly baked, no soggy spots, and the presentation is even better. I don't know if it is somehow because of the clay used in the plate, but my apple pear pies just taste better, and have more golden, risen crusts on top too. Its my favorite!
Great hostess gift for your favorite baker!

My Gramma had one, my Aunts all got one when they got married, my Mom has one, and when I got my Kitchen Aid, life as a baker was forever changed. This is easy to use, easy to clean, looks great on the countertop, has lots of power, accessories avaiable, and I couldn't think of a better giift or main kitchen tool for any baker.
You know how I said everyone in our family has one? No one will give them up! They last forever! My Grammas is in my Moms kitchen now, and they bought it back in the 40's I think. (the 1940's!) . Its a classic.
I have also used other, larger Kitchen Aid mixers, and found them to be harder to use, too powerful for mixing things with flour, and cumbersome. This is the original and perfect product for a home kitchen.
My only complaint is that mine is white, and there are now so many lovely colors to choose from! But, you really only need one Kitchen Aid...its the gold standard in my opinion!
