Love the vesatility of this kettle! Setting one of the preset temperatures (also labeled with the type of tea), coupled with the adjustable steeping timer to remind you when your tea is ready equals no overbrewed, bitter tea. While a little loose tea has made it thru the SS basket, it is a tiny amount that I don’t mind - the filter on the spout keeps it in the pot till cleanup. Adjustable Auto Keep Warm option is an added advantage for refills. Satisfied to read on packaging "All materials that come into contact with food or liquids are BPA free." I was hesitant about buying a glass kettle, but durability is not a concern on this model and I now much prefer its visibility of contents.

Efficient Glass Storage

After enjoying using lightweight polycarbonate containers, I'm reverting to other choices for food storage with the current information about BPA. This is an efficiently designed 36 ounce pitcher. The shape is space saving. The handle is easy to grip. The twist seal lid keeps contents fresh. And no concerns about "tried and true" glass storage of acidic liquids, such as lemonade, OJ, or tomato juice that may be held for days.

I've never been dissatisfied with a Wusthof purchase, and this is no exception. Finally I own a knife that makes cutting the hardest cheeses like butter...and safer for one's fingers since there is no struggle!

These are attractive, spacious canisters. The lids are VERY tight, which might be considered a pro by some for well-sealed storage, however a con by others having difficulty opening them. After using mine for a few months I'm glad I was not dissuaded from keeping this purchase. The tightest lids I have learned to open by gripping the nice open handle and easing the lid up at a slight tilt toward me to break the air suction. I like the construction of these canisters and the ability to keep track of the remaining quantity of the contents due to glass lids.

Another Quality Knife from Wusthof

I did not know this style was available from Wusthof before seeing it here at Chef's. I am happy I added this knife to my Wusthof collection. Sturdy tool with offset handle provides decorative cuts with ease. Like the decorative vegetable cuts, especially carrot strips for salads.

I was delighted with the quality and performance as I sliced thru my four layer Christmas Lane Cake. Can't imagine a more functional design, as the twelve inch serrated blade cut across the diameter of the cake for perfect slices. Also the VERY sharp blade has some evenly spaced blunt tips along the serrated blade (that act as stops) to protect the surface you are cutting on. Can't wait to try it out slicing a sheet cake. Just be careful washing and drying as the blade is equal in sharpness to the best Wusthof carvers!
